George Mavety

George Mavety (died 19 August 2000 at age 63) was the owner of a New York-based publishing company known at various times as Modernismo, Mavety Media Group, or MMG Services.
In 1974, Mavety was helping with the distribution of Dilettante, edited by John Devere. When Dilettante folded after 4 issues, Mavety offered to take over the magazine, which he relaunched in 1975 as Mandate.
